Stove Top: In a saucepan, bring 1/2 cup of water (salt optional) to a rapid boil. Add desired amount of frozen peas and carrots. Return to a boil, stirring gently. Cover, reduce heat to medium, simmer for 6-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain, season to taste and serve. Microwave: Place desired amount of frozen peas and carrots in microwave-safe container. Add 2 tablespoons of water and cover. Cook on HIGH for 6-7 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking. Let stand for 1 minute before serving. Drain, and season to taste. How to cook 'em. Note: Microwave cooking times may vary. Do not microwave in bag. For food safety, cook to a temperature of 165 degrees F. Keep frozen until ready to cook. Do not thaw and refreeze.
