What are upcycled grains? Upcycled grains are a valuable by-product of the beer making process. When making beer, craft brewers steep super high-quality sprouted grains, like barley, in water. They then strain this mixture, keeping the liquid to make beer and discard the "spent" grains. Turns out, these grains are still incredibly flavorful and the brewing process actually unlocks valuable flavors and nutrients like amino acids, protein and vitamins.
